Rudner Muench Residence
Writer Ruth Rudner and her husband David Meunch decided to build a small home on a chunk of family land west of Bozeman, under the shadow of Hollowtop Peak in the Tobacco Root Mountains. Ruth felt a strong connection with the creative projects the team at Comma-Q developed and for her, it was an easy choice.
“I loathe log homes on steroids,” she declared. Ruth and her husband were keen to create a space that was personal, cozy, with natural materials. We created an intimate space that was open, welcoming and incorporated rock, wood, stucco and metal into a 1600 square foot home that appears as if it’s always been there. In so doing we feel that it fulfills Ruth’s desire that it be a home “so much a part of the landscape that no one would see it.”
