When you have a great piece of property you want to create a connection to it. The primary objective of the renovation was to create a meaningful relationship between the indoor spaces and the wonderful outdoor areas to enhance the home’s livability. Located across from Bogert Park, this charming home was moved from Park County to the banks of Bozeman Creek in the early 1990s. Renovations included replacing the existing front entryway with a new partially enclosed front porch to create a more integrated street facade and entry sequence. A patio was added on the east side of the house providing an outdoor living space overlooking the creek. Built on a shallow rubble foundation and structurally unsound, a secondary dwelling was replaced with a smaller, one-bedroom residence. The owner collaborated with the City of Bozeman’s efforts on the Bozeman Creek Enhancement Project to stabilize the creek banks along their property.
