MCEL 2012, Sweet.
This Fall, Comma-Q Architecture was pleased to participate in the annual Montana Conference of Education Leadership – or MCEL. Architects Kim Everts and Laura Landon surrounded themselves with images and information about our recent school work, and manned their little corner of the Billings Hotel and Convention Center. They spent time visiting with some familiar faces – administrators and facility management folks that we’ve had the pleasure to work with on past projects, and others that we met for the first time. Conversations varied from the challenges Montana School Districts face with the demands of rapidly increasing student populations, to the benefits of new technology and furniture in existing facilities. Listening to the dedicated leaders of Montana’s public schools talk about educating our kids was energizing and inspiring!
On a fun note, at the Comma-Q booth we offered both apples and ‘mint books’ (two Andies Mints taped into a book cover that paid homage to Comma-Q staff’s favorite classic books, Alice in Wonderland, the Odyssey, Where the Red Fern Grows, and Great Expectations.) The mints proved to be the more popular of the two give-aways by a ratio of about 50:1.
Sweets rule the day at MCEL.
