Whittier Mechanical Retrofit
As part of a district-wide upgrade plan, Bozeman Schools identified replacement of an aging, inefficient mechanical system, addition of new main offices, entry and lobby space, and fully remodeled and upgraded restrooms as priorities for improvements at Whittier School on Bozeman’s north side.
That design challenge was met through the careful teamwork of the School District, Comma-Q Architecture, Mechanical Engineer Larry Bronec, and Structural Engineer John Schlegelmilch. The team added 900 square feet of new mechanical and over 800 square feet for new principal and secretary offices, sick room, waiting area and entry lobby. Also incorporated were reconfigured restrooms that allow better supervision of students.
