First Presbyterian Church
In 2003, First Presbyterian Church in Bozeman began extensive efforts to modernize and enhance this historic Bozeman landmark. As a commitment to maintaining a place of worship in this downtown location, First Presbyterian Church undertook a program to provide new educational classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, kitchen, and support spaces within the footprint of the existing facility. A significant portion of the work involved code upgrades, new heating and cooling systems, fire suppression, and state-of-the-art lighting controls. The new work was designed to respect and compliment the historic fabric of the spaces, while providing a safe, flexible, and energy efficient facility for many years to come.
To assist First Presbyterian Church realize their goals and create excitement for the project among the congregation, Comma-Q Architecture, Inc. provided a display model, graphic materials, and three-dimensional models during the design phases. These tools were invaluable in creating understanding and involvement throughout the congregation.
