Windows of Opportunity

We’re drawing plans.  We’re building models. We are moving ahead with the Saddle Peak Elementary School Schematic Design.

The Client’s desire to create progressive learning environments led Comma-Q away from the typical classroom window arrangement. Instead of a single window grouping per classroom, each classroom at Saddle Peak Elementary School will have three different window types:

Type One : Standing Window- a vertical window with a low sill height, proportional to a standing person

Type Two : Sitting Window – a horizontal window with a low head height, proportional to a sitting person

Type Three : Sky Window – a clerestory window, provides daylighting and a view of the sky
